Cheyenne, Wyo. - Some good news for all you Applebee's lovers.
CBS Newschannel 5 spoke to a representative for the Dell Range store who wanted to clarify that although renovation work will be happening at the Cheyenne restaurant in the near future, that work has not yet been scheduled. In addition, they say the restaurant will remain open when that work happens and will not be closed.
In an email on Friday (7/28/17), Robin Jenkin, Brand Manager and Media Relations Representative for RMH Franchise Holdings, says “our plan is to complete the work outside of our operating hours so we can continue to serve the Cheyenne community.”
Jenkin also says the restaurant has no plans to close and provided an official statement saying:
“In order to provide our guests in the Cheyenne community with a great dining experience, we continuously look for ways to improve and update our restaurant. We are currently in the initial planning stage of renovations. As of today, we have no plans to close the Cheyenne Applebee’s during these renovations and look forward to continuing to serve the Cheyenne community.”
On Wednesday, after a few concerned calls from residents, a CBS Newschannel 5 reporter reached out to Applebee’s corporate office for clarification. During that phone call, a member of their Guest Relations team confirmed that the Cheyenne store would be closing for renovations in a couple of weeks but could not provide us with a re-opening date. Our reporter then called the Cheyenne Applebee's and spoke to a manager who confirmed the information and said during the renovations employees would have the option of working for other Applebee's franchises or transferring to another store.
Ms. Jenkins tells us she is unfamiliar with the guest relations employee and wanted a clarification made that, again, the store would remain open.
