Cheyenne, Wyo. - The legislative session covered many issues relating to health care today, and one of them was house bill 157.

This bill would require all medical personnel to have a chaperon in the room during certain medical exams. It would also require the Board of Nurses to take disciplinary action against a health care provider for sexual misconduct.

It would also ensure that hospitals were responsible for doing in depth background searched on doctors.

This bill came about after a victim was sexually assaulted by her doctor and asked lawmakers to find a way to make sure what happened to her, wouldn't happen to anyone else.

The bill was introduced Thursday morning, and will now move on to be discussed by a committee.
