CHEYENNE, Wy.(KGWN)- This week it was team law vs team fire in the third annual guns and hoses community blood drive.
For three days both departments competed to get the most blood donations.
Team firefighters are the reigning champs and this year they collected 19 donations.
However, it wouldn’t be enough this year. Cheyenne Police rocked it this year -- recruiting 54 people to donate!
The total donations this year was 73, which was 24 more than was collected last year. The amount of donations is enough blood to help save up to 219 lives across Wyoming! Which is what really matters in this competition, but congratulations to Cheyenne Police for getting those donations!
