Cowboys find leader and rushing king in Nico Evans

Laramie, Wyo. - Wyoming senior running back Nico Evans leads the Mountain West with 612 rushing yards, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. He's ranked 14th in the nation in that category.

Running backs coach, Gordie Haug, says Cowboys offense is stronger with Evans on the depth chart.

"That's something I think we definitely needed on the offense. Being able to have a guy that's producing on the field, that's an older upperclassman that's gone through some of the ups and downs and stuff like that. It's helped some of those younger guys understand it's not all fairy tale and rainbows, it takes hard work," said Haug.
