How Cheyenne City Council is working to improve Internet access

Cheyenne, Wyo. (KGWN) - Cheyenne City Council is moving forward with a resolution to improve Internet access. Residents have expressed concern about spotty service and slow speed.

The resolution makes several recommendations, including adopting a one dig policy, building a downtown public WiFi system, and adopting a wireless facility ordinance.

The resolution doesn't spell out the steps, but is one step forward as these ideas are being analyzed.

Another item on tonight's Cheyenne City Council agenda involves a building that is quickly progressing at Frontier Park.

A public hearing has now been announced that will be held at the next Cheyenne City Council meeting to discuss the transfer of a retail liquor license from what was the Steamboats Restaurant to Frontier Days for a new facility being built at the park.
