LCCC's all-time leader in career kills signs with DI program

Cheyenne, Wyo.- LCCC sophomore outside hitter, Avery Nelson, signed her national letter of intent on Wednesday to join Long Beach State University's volleyball program.

Nelson is the Golden Eagles all-time leader in career kills with 1,034, and ranks second in the country in kills this season with 562.

Nelson recorded 64 kills in four matches, including a season-high 25 against New Mexico Military Institute.

Nelson is no stranger to conference accolades, becoming a two-time All-Region IX performer this year and was selected as the Region IX North Player of the Year this season.

Long Beach State University is an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Big West conference.
