Laramie County Science Fair

The Laramie County School District hosted its 45th annual science fair today. Over 100 students around the district, grades 4th through 8th put their pens to poster board and submitted their best work.
Projects spanned from a wide variety, including social issues to environmental change. The fair isn't just a great way for students to practice their science skills, but a way to apply everything kids are learning in school.
"Kids have an opportunity to take all of their skills and put them together to demonstrate original thinking and original thought" said Laramie County Science Coordinator, Julie Calkins.
The students are judged based on categories given by the Wyoming State Fair.
Each of the category's will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.
First place winners will move on into the next competition.
