CHEYENNE, Wy.(KGWN)- Wyoming Lawmakers will discuss adding a color for hunters to wear when hunting big or trophy game animals.
Senate File 61 is sponsored by Laramie County Rep. Olsen, Rep. Brown and Laramie County Senator Ellis as well as Senators and Representatives from Sweetwater, Albany, Campbell, Fremont, Converse, Big Horn, and Sublette Counties.
The measure would add that hunters can wear either fluorescent orange or pink while in the field.
The law would still include you must wear one item with these colors including a hat, shirt, jacket, coat, vest or sweater.
Lawmakers hope by adding pink to the wearable colors, it will welcome more women to this outdoor sport.
If passed through this session it would go into effect July 1, 2018.
