MAAFA Remembrance Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo - The year's conference is being centered around Global Education and World Technology with Dr. Laurie S. Nichols, the president of the University of Wyoming, is the conference speaker.

The 7th annual international African MAAFA Conference is Saturday, October 13 starting at 9:00am, breakfast starts at 8:30am.

You can expect to see a choir and learn Global Education and World Technology.

The conference opens with the national anthem and pledge of allegiance, followed by remembrance prayer and dedication to Ancestral Africa.

Then Pastor Catherine Fitzhugh will present Slavery, A Reoccurring Nightmare.

Mary Ludwig will about the Chicago Race Riots of 1919 and The Exodusters: African Americans Challenges and Opportunities in the West.

The President of the University of Wyoming, Dr. Laurie Nichols, will then talk about the new program at the University.

This event is open and free to the public.
