A new weight management course begins through CRMC

CHEYENNE, Wyo - Cheyenne Regional Medical Center registered nutritionists are bringing a new weight management program to Cheyenne. The sessions begin February 27. You have until February 19 to sign up for the CORE4 program, which you can do so by calling 307-633-7864 or going to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's website.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and CORE4 by Sodexo are partnering with Gold's Gym to offer an Adult Weight Management program taught by our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. The program includes nutrition education and also focuses on physical activity and the role of behavioral therapy in weight reduction and weight management.

CORE4 Adult Weight Management provides participants with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully manage their weight for a lifetime by making better choices. The 12-week course costs $185. The 12-week course and the metabolic testing is $210.

Nutrition Education focuses on basic nutrition components, calorie composition, food portions, supplements, food preparation, dining out, reading food labels and shopping tips.

In the physical activity modules they address the role of exercise and physical activity in weight reduction and management

Behavior Modification Modules focus on personal awareness, hunger and appetite and our relationship to food.

Metabolic testing is a simple 10-minute breath test to accurately determine the exact number of calories you need to lose, maintain or gain. With this data registered dietitians will create a personalized weight management plan for you based on your specific wellness goals.
