In Cheyenne, Gold’s Gym and Planet Fitness are two places you can check out if you’re looking to lose weight. Club Manager at Planet Fitness, Heidi Poch, said, “A lot of our members are first time gym users so we really try and create that atmosphere where everybody can feel included and accepted.”
If you don’t have an idea of where to start you could take a fitness class. Along with that guidance. Building relationships at the gym is an important step to staying on track.
Even if you miss a few days you can always set new goals and get back to work.
Gold’s gym is adding a four lane swimming pool, basketball court and adding to their existing cardio cinema to keep people motivated. Those renovations are expected to be finished in the spring.
If you’re planning on making lifestyle changes that will last it will take a little patience. Trainer at Planet Fitness, Ivie Moore, said, “I was actually a new year’s resolution person. I’ve lost seventy pounds over the last two years. The biggest thing is to stay committed and create it as a habit.” Jerry Johnston, from Gold’s Gym, said, “Two weeks in if you haven’t lost any weight don’t get frustrated just know that you have to keep plugging at it. It will come.”
