One dead, three in custody following possible shooting on Ridge Road

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) One person is dead and three others are in police custody following reports of a possible shooting in Cheyenne.

This is a developing story and details are still coming in, but here's what we know so far.

Just before 4pm Wednesday afternoon--police responded to a home near the intersection of Ridge Road and Nationway on reports of a call for shots fired.

Once on scene, our crews observed around 20 law enforcement vehicles, including both marked and unmarked units.

Officers from Cheyenne Police Department Deputies from Laramie County Sheriff's Office set up a perimeter around the home--and a short time later a SWAT Team made entrance into the home.

Around 10-15 minutes later, our crews observed three people being escorted out of the home and taken into custody.

It appeared to be an older man and woman--maybe 50s or 60s--and another younger male, possibly late teens or early twenties.

No word yet on what started the situation.

CPD said the scene was secure at 4:50pm and there is no on-going threat to the public.

The investigation will continue into the evening, and ridge road will remain closed during that time.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.
