Laramie, Wyo. - Wyoming men's basketball team announced Thursday the addition of Pine Bluffs native Haize Fornstrom.

Fornstrom averaged 23 points per game as a senior at Pine Bluffs High School and received the Milward Simpson Award. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female high school senior in Wyoming.

Fornstrom is a multi-sport athlete as he redshirted for Wyoming's football team this past season. As a Hornet, Fornstrom won two state titles both in football and basketball.

In high school, Fornstrom was teammates with Hunter Thompson, who is currently a redshirt freshman for the Cowboys.

Fornstrom could see time on the court as early as Saturday when Wyoming hosts Utah State University.
