CHEYENNE, Wyo - (RELEASE) October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) has put together events around the state to raise awareness and raise funds for Wyoming breast cancer programs.

Volunteers with WBCI have organized a statewide Plates for Pink Restaurant Week event- Friday, October 12 – Saturday, October 20. Each night of the week will feature a different local restaurant.

Restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds from their evening event to WBCI. Funds are granted to breast cancer programs across the state.

“The efforts of WBCI are making an impact across Wyoming, helping women and men to prevent or treat breast cancer. We invite all to enjoy a family night out at one of the participating restaurants or join us for the UW Football game,” said Laurie Heath, president of the WBCI. “Thank you Wyoming, for your support of the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative.”

There is a full list of participating restaurants below. Specific restaurant details can also be found on WBCI’s Website and Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/wyomingbreastcancer.org
