Public meetings to discuss 2019 proposed hunting seasons

LARAMIE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding public meetings and has opened a comment period to gather input on proposed big game, wild turkey, upland game bird, small game, wild bison, migratory game bird and light goose conservation order hunting seasons and the general hunting regulation.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend one of the public meetings to be held in southeast Wyoming to discuss the 2019 hunting season proposals:
Saratoga: 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, Saratoga Town Hall, 110 E. Spring Avenue
Wheatland: 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, Platte County Public Library, 904 9th Street
Torrington: 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, Platte Valley Bank, 2201 Main Street
Laramie: 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, Laramie Game and Fish office, 1212 S. Adams St.
Cheyenne: 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, Game and Fish headquarters, 5400 Bishop Blvd.

Live, online coverage of the big game and game bird discussion will be available during the Cheyenne meeting on March 28. Participants will be able to view the live forum and ask questions via computer by logging on to:

Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the department website and at the address above in accordance with Chapter 1 Regulation Governing Access to Public Records. Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at their April 23-24 meeting Riverton.
