Red Cross assists after plane slides off runway in Gillette

Gillette, Wyo. - The Red Cross of Wyoming is helping at the Gillette airport after a United Airlines plane slid off the runway.

No one was injured, and all passengers and crew have been accounted for. United Airlines flight 5117 was traveling from Denver and carrying 33 people.

The incident Monday closed the runway briefly and there was no damage to the airplane, which slid about 30 yards off the tarmac.

United Airlines provided lodging and no other assistance was needed.
