Summer Reading Celebration

CHEYENNE, Wyo.- A week before classes get out for the kiddos, the Laramie County Library will kick of their summer reading celebration.

Beginning Friday, May 26, adults and children can sign up for the program. It's an opportunity for readers to set their own goal, read or listen to books of your interest and then receive prizes for participation. Each participant under 18 who completes the program will also receive a free book.

Reese Ruiz, Community and Relations Manager of the Laramie County Library, says the program is for all ages and has some great local sponsors. They are hoping to beat their previous participation record and get more than 8,000 people involved.

Ruiz also says for those who want to continue reading, anyone can join the Read for a Cause program where they can help Habitat for Humanity.
