CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN)- The University of Wyoming hosts the 21st annual Shepard Symposium. The purpose of the symposium is to bring people together and shine a spotlight on issues of injustice surrounding us today.
With presentations, student led discussions, academic papers and performances, organizers will tackle issues of sex, gender, race, disability and class.
Students say they enjoy the symposium because it challenges them to think out side the box and engage with other students who they might not normally talk to.
According to Christine Boggs, co-chair of the symposium, the event is a judgment free zone where people can just come learn and ask questions.
The symposium will continue through Friday and it free to the public.
