There's a new way to recycle real Christmas trees in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo - In our monthly series with Cheyenne City Public Works Vicki Nemecek stopped by to give us some holiday recycling advice. She also talks about the new way the city is recycling real Christmas trees.

In the past the Boy Scouts of Cheyenne would collect trees off the curb and use them for projects, however this year the city is going a different route. You are now required to take your tree to the compost facility. In order to accommodate everyone they are staying open an extra day from 9am to 5pm on Sunday January 7.

The city wants to remind you that when you do recycle your tree to get all the tinsel off of it.

For more information on holiday recycling and trash pick up, especially if you extra trash, check out the interview from the morning show.
