Torrington wrestling erases 30-point deficit to beat South 48-36

Cheyenne, Wyo.- Sometimes, home openers don't go your way.

South's wrestling team hosted Torrington on Thursday night in its home opener. The Bison built a 30-0 lead.

Then the 152's stepped on to the mat.

South's Sam Lister went up against Torrington's Cody Pierce in the 152 weight class.

Pierce picked Lister up off the ground and slammed him to the mat, earning a Fall at 1:54.

Pierce put six points on the board for Torrington as the Trailblazers started in on a run.

Torrington dominated, coming back from a 30-point deficit to beat South 48-36.

South will compete in the Charlie Lake Invitational on Friday, along with East, Laramie and Central. The dual starts at 11: 00 a.m.
