CHEYENNE, Wy.(KGWN)- Children across the world can track Santa and find out exactly when he will reach their home on Christmas Eve, thanks to NORAD.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command will take over 100,000 calls and it’s been a tradition since 1955.
It started when Colonel Harry Shoup at the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center answered a call from a little boy wanting to know where Santa was. He received this call because a local department store had a typo in a magazine to call Santa at that number.
Since then the traditions has continued at NORAD.
You can call them at 1-877-HI-NORAD.
Children call also track Santa online at Noradsanta.org, or through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
