CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - The City of Cheyenne has announced that trash/recycle collection postponed by this week’s blizzard will be picked up starting on Saturday, March 16.

City offices were closed on Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14 due to a blizzard that left Cheyenne paralyzed. The Sanitation Department is asking residents who had regular scheduled trash/recycle collection on Wednesday, and Thursday have their bins out to the curb no later than 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.

“We plan to start operating those two routes on Saturday,” said Public Works Director Vicki Nemecek. “We are not sure we can do two routes in one day, but we are asking customer to leave their bins out until the City empties them. It could be Sunday before we get this accomplished. We’ll return to our regular trash/recycle pickup schedule on Monday.”
