CHEYENNE,Wyo. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center hosted its 3rd annual Trauma Skills Fair. The fair is focused towards paramedics, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses within the community as way to help refresh them on their training. The fair was created three years ago as a no pressure way to reeducate and teach new skills to our medical community and has been a success ever since. The fair hosted attendees from trauma services, trauma surgeons, Cheyenne Fire and Rescue as well as guests from Torrington, Wheatland, and Greely. A part of the reason for the fairs success is the ability to play with technology and equipment that isn't always available to learn from. “We also have other products here that we use in the hospital but that not everyone gets to play with on a regular basis” said Trauma Program Manager and R.N Emily Kruchten. Over 90 people came out to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center today for the fair and it was clear that everyone was having a blast.
