Trustee attempts to flee from CAS work release

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) A Laramie County Sheriff's Department Trustee attempted to escape while on work release at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

According to a press release from the LCSD, five Trustees were working at the shelter on Wednesday afternoon when 31-year-old Randall Carr walked off. The deputy on scene alerted dispatch and the Cheyenne Police Department.

LCSD said Jasmine Lieurance helped Carr escape by picking him up at the animal shelter, giving him a change of clothes, and throwing away his jail uniform at the Wal Mart on Livingston.

Within 20 minutes of leaving the animal shelter, Carr was back in custody.

Carr was at the detention center for a probation violation; his original charges were for misdemeanor reckless endangerment and misdemeanor domestic violence. He is now facing an additional charge of Escape.
