SCOTTS BLUFFS CO., Ne. (KGWN)- United Airlines operated by SkyWest has announced when the first flight out of Western Nebraska Regional Airport will take place. Air Service will begin on January 30, 2018 and tickets will begin being sold on November 18.
Tickets can be purchased directly through United’s website. A round trip ticket to and from Denver will be approximately $150 with taxes. SkyWest has been in and out over the last two weeks to begin the hiring process.
Darwin Skelton, Western Nebraska Regional Airport Director, says that people have complained about reliability in the past, but believes their reliability with United is here.
"This community has to support SkyWest. This is not a little airline. This is United, this is a big airline and we have to support them because if we don't support them why would they stay," said Darwin Skelton, Western Nebraska Regional Airport Director.
United Express announced that air service out of North Platte will begin on February 1.
