Weather conditions lead to nearly 100 car pile-up on I25

WELLINGTON, Colo. (RELEASE) - March 13th, multiple fire and EMS agencies from across northern Larimer County, Weld County, and Wyoming responded to a 100-car accident on I-25, north of Wellington. Injuries ranged from minor to serious, with no fatalities reported.

The initial 9-1-1 call came in around 10:10 a.m. as a multi-vehicle accident on northbound I-25. When Crews from Wellington Fire Protection District arrived, they saw a 6-car accident which grew into multiple multi-vehicle accidents, due to poor road conditions.

The accident occurred in both north and south bound lanes according to Wellington Fire. They say the road was clear by about 3:00 pm this afternoon.

Laramie County Fire District #1 responded to assist in the accident.
