Cheyenne, Wy- Women in law enforcement from across Wyoming came together to encourage other women to apply for jobs. The free seminar was held at LCCC on Thursday September 13. A variety of special speakers including Mayor Marian Orr, and Chief Brian Kozak all encouraged women to apply.

Haylee Sauerwine a Patrol Officer for the Cheyenne Police Department said she was a little nervous about joining but has a message for other women. " Not to doubt themselves, I know I had a lot of self doubt coming deeper into the field of law enforcement, it was a little intimidating but I believe there is a spot for everyone."

Women who are interested in joining are encouraged to get their applications in as soon as possible. The next training for the Cheyenne Police Department is on October 23.
