Wyoming ranked most dangerous state for carbon monoxide deaths

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - Safewise.com is giving Wyoming a dubious rank, and sending residents a healthy reminder. The website is listing Wyoming as the most dangerous state in the nation in terms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Nebraska also made the top five most dangerous list. In fact the five most dangerous states are in northern altitudes, with elevations of 1,900 feet or more.

The study was conducted using data from the CDC between 1999 and 2016.

The safest state according to the study is California.
