Cheyenne, Wyo. - A Wyoming woman ordered to pay restitution for falsely claiming her son had terminal brain cancer to collect thousands of dollars from the community has been arrested for not keeping up with her restitution payments.

Thirty-five-year-old Krishelle Layton was arrested Sunday.

In 2015, Layton entered an Alford plea to a felony charge of obtaining property under false pretenses. Under the plea, Layton did not admit guilt but understood prosecutors had enough evidence to convict her.

She was sentenced to supervised probation and ordered to pay about $5,170 in restitution to five victims. Court documents do not indicate how much restitution Layton has paid so far.
