Cheyenne, Wy- Bit of a scare for Brandon Nimmo fans and Mets fans. On Thursdaythe Mets and Phillies faced off. The outfielder left the game in the third inning after a fastball hit his bat and his left hand. Nimmo fell to the ground in pain, and was clutching his hand. However, the good news is that x-rays on his left index finger came back negative.
During the play the ball bounced to third and the play was ruled a ground out. Unfortunately this will end Nimmo's streak of reaching base in ten consecutive plate appearances.
Mets would go on to get the win in dominating fashion 24-4.
