Central girls tennis wins back-to-back state titles

Cheyenne, Wy- On Saturday, the lady Indians brought home their second consecutive state title in tennis. The ladies finished with a total of 54 points. It was also a successful day for singles and doubles. Here is a look at those standings:

Emily Needham #2 Singles 1st Place

Kelsey Hardsocg #1 Singles 2nd Place

Kaitlyn Smedley/Sarah Foster #2 Doubles 1st Place

Cailin Brugger/Maggie Black #1 Doubles 5th Place

Tenley Keller/Cassadie Anderson #3 Doubles 1st Place

On the ladies side here is a look at how the other schools in our area finished:

Laramie finished in 8th with 9.5 points, followed by East with 8.5.

Torrington finished in 13th with a total of 5.5 and South took 17th with 1 point.

On the boys side, they tied with Jackson for the state title. Here is a look a the standings from both single and double matchups:

Central and Jackson tie for first with 35 points.

Laramie takes fourth with 27 followed by South in 7th with 21.

East took 12th with 6 points and Torrington finished in 15th with 3.
