Cowboys fall to UTEP 76-65, finish 0-2 at Sun Bowl Invite

Laramie, Wyo. - Wyoming fell to the University of Texas, El Paso 76-65 on Saturday night. With the loss, Cowboys finish 0-2 at the Sun Bowl Invitational.

This is the 10th time this season Wyoming has allowed an opponent to score 70 or more points in a game.

Senior guard, Justin James, led the Cowboys in scoring with 22 points, while Hunter Thompson, who scored a career-high 25 points in Friday's game against ETSU, put up only eight points in Saturday's contest.

With the loss, Wyoming drops to 3-9 overall. The Cowboys will be back in Laramie on December 29th, as the team hosts Dixie State University.

The game will serve as the Cowboys final contest before entering Mountain West play. Wyoming hosts Boise State on January 2nd in Arena Auditorium at 7 p.m.
