Cowgirls accept at-large bid to host national championship

Laramie, Wyo. - For the second straight year, Wyoming's volleyball team has been selected to compete in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.

The team accepted the at-large bid on Sunday night, agreeing to host the first and second of the tournament.

Cowgirls finished the regular season 20-10, marking the first time since 2015 the team finished with 20 wins in a season.

Wyoming posted a 12-6 conference record, finishing third overall in the Mountain West.

Wyoming will take on Utah Valley in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Uniwyo Sports Complex.
