Pine Bluffs' Hunter Thompson has nearly perfect game in Wyoming's 76-53 loss to ETSU

Cheyenne, Wyo.- Former Pine Bluffs star, Hunter Thompson, showed his basketball chops Friday night, leading Wyoming in scoring with 25 points against East Tennessee State University.

Thompson went 8-of-9 shooting from the field and 7-of-8 shooting from the three point line.

Cowboys started off slow, really slow. At the half, ETSU led 43 to 11.

Wyoming let their opponents grab 14 offensive rebounds, something Wyoming's head coach, Allen Edwards says cost them the game.

“ETSU took advantage of offensive rebounding and driving the basketball,” said Edwards.

Wyoming fell to ETSU 76-53 in the first round of the Sun Bowl Invitational but will be back on the court Saturday.
