Hockey academy camp big hit with local players

Cheyenne, Wyo.- Over the summer, 50 youth hockey players took part in the Black Hills Hockey Academy Super Camp in Cheyenne.

Kids ages 5-15 took part in a final scrimmage on Thursday night to show off what they've learned over the summer. The camp was created by Riley Weselowski of the Rapid City Rush, ECHL hockey team.

"We touch on all aspects of the game. It's a lot of teaching, a lot of games and races. I'm trying to give the kids as many tips as I can throughout the week, but I'm also trying to make it as fun as I can," said Weselowski.

The Cheyenne Capitals Youth Hockey Association coordinated with Weselowski and Cheyenne to bring the camp back to the city for its second year.
