Cheyenne, Wyo.- South's swim team will host the 4A conference meet on Friday. The Lady Bison are eager to compete, as the ladies have a chance to qualify for the state meet.

"This is a huge meet, this is basically our state for people who haven't qualified . It's huge. This means that this is a chance for me to qualify and prove myself," said Alexandra Robert, who is a freshman this year at South.

The Lady Bison have had a light practice schedule leading up to the meet. When they're not in the water, they are resting and mentally preparing for the event.

"I'm going to really make sure I get a lot of sleep tonight. I want to be well rested for tomorrow and in practice I've been working a lot of turns and stuff like my pull outs and just making sure my stroke is consistent the entire way through so it's not changing too bad," said Keyarra Bassett, one of South's team captains.

The meet begins on Friday, with divers competing at 2 p.m. at South High School.
