Turnovers, execution costing South in redzone

Cheyenne, Wyo.- The South Bison (0-2) are the only 4A football team who haven't scored in some capacity this season.

Central, Gillette and Rock Springs are all 0-2, just like South, but they have at least put six points on the board over the last two weeks of the regular season.

Dan Gallas, South's head coach, says turning the ball over and missed opportunities are the two factors holding the team back.

"Number one, we're turning over the football way more times than we'd like. Number two, we need to be able to do our execution. Our execution is not where it needs to be."

Sophomore quarterback Cade Burns says experience plays a roll in his teams inability to convert.

"I feel like because we're in the redzone so little, we just kind of freak out. We don't know what to do so we just try to rush things and not play our normal offense,so then, we just tend to make more mistakes."

South will travel this week to face Kelly Walsh on Friday.
