Vander Waal calls team out, says Cowboys 'lack consistency'

After scoring only a field goal in its 27-3 loss to Fresno State on Saturday, Wyoming is coming to terms with its offensive woes.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Tyler Vander Waal called his team out during Monday's press conference, saying both the offense and defense are lacking consistency.

"I think I was 12 of 32 on Saturday, that's a low completion percentage for me. Just being more consistent, helping guys out, just consistency - that's what we're lacking right now. Consistency on offense, consistency on defense, consistency throughout the game."

So far this season, Vander Waal has a completion percentage of 51.6%.

The Cowboys, who are 0-3 in the Mountain West, will host Utah State at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
